Last night we had rain and heavy wind. The lights went out just in our small 'block' of the villiage. Lisa and I played Phase10 by candle light and watched 2 episodes of the Lucy Show until the battery on our computer went dead. Its funny how a modern amenity like electricity is taken for granted while its working, however once its gone we seem a little lost on what to do with ourselves:)
This is our local bus stop. Now that Lisa and I have chosen to go without a car we frequent this stop often, hmm guess we won't be 'sitting' waiting for the bus any time soon.
There is an intersection right outside our house and they had one direction closed and were redirecting traffic down the other road. We weren't sure why but as the pictures show there was a mud slide. Above the bus stop pictured are several homes built into the hill. Fortunately it seems that their homes were not affected. The power remained off all night but was working agin this morning - Thanks goodness!
